Is there a free day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art?
We do not currently offer a free day or night. The Met does participate in the annual Museum Mile Festival, usually held in June, held in June, and offers free evening admission along with other museums on Fifth Avenue.
Is Guggenheim Museum free?
Admission: Adults $25, students/seniors (65+) $18, members and children under 12 free. Open Thursdays through Mondays from 11 am to 6 pm. Pay What You Wish hours are Saturdays from 4 to 6 pm, with free admission on select Saturdays. Timed tickets are required and available at guggenheim.org/tickets.
Is the new Museum free?
The New Museum Store is open Wednesday–Sunday from Noon til 6 PM, and on Thursdays til 9 PM. We’re closed today. We will open Tuesday at 11 a.m….Admission.

Can you bring water bottles into MoMA?
No. They check your bags as you go in. You can purchase food and water once inside, but the food is restricted to certain areas. There is a cafe at MoMa, but one cannot take any food or beverages into the exhibit halls.
When is the MoMA free?
Free admission for NYC’s healthcare workers, from Oct 1, 2020 through Sep 30, 2021 , is made possible by UNIQLO, MoMA’s proud partner since 2013. Children 16 and under are always free at MoMA Advance timed tickets must be reserved online. Free admission does not apply to children in groups.
What day is MoMA free?
While many museums are closed on Mondays, the MoMA is open daily (except on Christmas and Thanksgiving) from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Fridays, the MoMA is open until 8 p.m. for UNIQLO Free Fridays, when admission is waived.
Should museums offer free admission?
A common refrain is that the museum can “afford” to have free admission for all, either through better management of costs, or through increased donations from the very rich. I don’t doubt this. But is it a good idea? When a museum chooses free admission it is making a choice on how to use its limited resources.
Is the MoMA free?
Active US Military . MoMA offers one free admission to active members of the US Military with valid ID as well as free admission for military families with dependent cards. Tickets are available at the information desk.
