Motorist Aid Emergency Response System – Supervisory System, User Powered Call Box And WinPatrol-Highway Emergency Dispatching

The Motorist Aid Division offers a complete motorist aid emergency response system from the highway call box to the dispatching program.

The complete system may span hundreds of miles through the use of base stations and repeaters or can be adapted to smaller non-highway applications like a college campus or park. Signal Communications` User Powered Call Box can be installed anywhere requiring manual emergency wireless signaling. Custom instruction plates and up to four function buttons allow the call box to signal for fire, police, medical, accident, hazardous material or whatever other assistance may be required. With a proven track record in harsh environments and requiring no power, the call box is ideal for highways, parks, offshore drilling rigs, college campuses and more.

Vision 21 – Supervisory System

System Processor with Radio Module

Wherever fast, accurate signaling from remote locations is critical, a Signal Communications radio system is the right decision. The Vision 21 Supervisory System is the central piece of a versatile monitoring and control setup. A modular design, along with easily programmable features, allows the Vision 21 Supervisory System to be uniquely tailored for any installation. While powerful features and options enable the range of operation to cover any sized region, the straight forward operation makes the Vision 21 ideal for an application as small as a single building. From municipal fire alarms to military aircraft hangars and barracks, industrial complexes and highway emergency systems, Signal Communications provides reliable solutions, backed by round-the-clock expert technical support.

User Powered Call Box - Motorist Aid Call Box System

The User Powered Call Box, from Signal Communications, operates simply and efficiently. Pull the handle. Push the desired buttons — Police, Ambulance, Service, etc. Release the handle and the energy stored in the mechanical module provides power to the radio transmitter. In approximately ½ a second the dispatch center receives the signal. Upon receipt of a message, a verification signal is returned to the Call Box, alerting the user that help is on the way. The SigCom Motorist Aid Call Box System is less costly than any other type of system. The initial cost of a radio system is lower than comparable wire systems. Long cable runs are not needed, lowering the installation and service expenses. Data message equipment is easier to maintain than voice equipment. The User Powered feature eliminates the need for battery checking and recharging. Rugged physical construction reduces the chance of damage by weather, accidents, or vandals. Call Box servicing is quick and easy. A single access key allows entry into the Call Box. Inside, the modular parts may be replaced using standard tools.

WinPatrol for Highway Emergency Dispatching

WinPatrol is a Windows based application, designed specifically for highway emergency dispatching. WinPatrol interfaces with the Vision 21 System Processor, enabling the versatility and power of a PC to provide extended information and efficient call processing. WinPatrol provides the tools necessary to meet the challenges of a large highway system. Relational databases group call boxes into highway sections and areas. Each area, or jurisdiction, may have any number of agents assigned for specific services. When a call is acknowledged, WinPatrol provides a rotating list of recommended agents, determined by location, service requested, and agent availability. Several aids are integrated into the dispatching screens including the complete US DOT Emergency Response Guidebook, a motorist database for each call, call box, highway and area location details, and call notes.

The WinPatrol Reports program generates extensive reports from the Call Log, Agent Log, and system databases. A communications program gathers data from remote dispatching centers, enabling comprehensive, system-wide reports. WinPatrol, added to the Motorist Aid System, brings powerful features and easy operation to an already cost effective design.
