LifeLock CEO Todd Davis announced today that Willis Group Holdings, the global insurance broker, has selected LifeLock - the industry leader in identity theft prevention - as the identity theft prevention service to safeguard the personal information of the company’s 3,500+ US based employees.

“Identity theft prevention could be every bit as important as any benefit offered by an employer,” said Davis. “Since January 2005, more than 150 million people have been affected by the loss of personal data and that includes millions coming through losses from the places they work or do business with. Our relationship with Willis gives us the opportunity to protect their Associates.”

In February, the Federal Trade Commission released its annual report highlighting that for the seventh consecutive year, identity theft tops the list of consumer complaints. In 2006, identity theft cost Americans $1.1 billion dollars, the highest amount ever. A multi-billion dollar crime, identity theft is non-discriminatory, hitting Americans in every age range from infants to seniors. Since January 2005, more than 110 million Americans have received letters notifying them that their personal information had been lost or stolen. The letters have come from universities, doctors, dentists, hospitals, lawyers, the federal government, local law enforcement, the military, retirement communities, banks, credit bureaus and several non-profit organizations.

As the leader in identity theft prevention, LifeLock reduces the risk of identity theft problems by setting and automatically renewing fraud alerts with the major credit bureaus, removing member names from pre-approved credit card offers and junk mail lists and guaranteeing the service with a $1 million service guarantee.

Susan Sztuka, Global Group Director of Human Resources for Willis, said today: “Our highly trained Associates are dedicated to work closely with clients to develop optimal risk management solutions. We are ecstatic to offer them LifeLock as an employee benefit.”

Willis professionals are skilled and experienced in a wide range of industries, from Aerospace to the Utilities. They are highly trained and knowledgeable and work closely with clients to develop optimal risk management solutions.
