DEP Aims for Thailand International Logistics Fair 2008 to Demonstrate to the World the Logistics Capabilities of Thailand and ASEAN

The Department of Export Promotion (DEP) is all geared up to ensure that the upcoming Thailand International Logistics Fair 2008 (TILF 2008) will be the grandest and most comprehensive exposition of its kind in ASEAN.The event is also expected to impress the world with the outstanding logistics capabilities of Thailand and ASEAN countries. Throughout 350 exhibition booths at this event, international visitors will meet with as many as over 150 leading logistics companies from Thailand and beyond, plus a range of interesting seminars featuring Thai and foreign logistics gurus. The event is scheduled to take place between September 11th-13th, 2008, at BITEC Bangna.

Mr. Rachane Potjanasuntorn, DEP Director-General, revealed that, “DEP, together with, TNSC and HASLA, are joining forces once again in organizing the TILF2008. Already in its 5th year, the event this time will be held under the theme of ‘ASEAN Logistics Networks’.The show is set to become the grandest and most complete logistics event ever staged in Southeast Asia. Visitors will have a chance to exchange business views and engage in business trade with potential logistics partners from around the world, as well as, select for their businesses the very best logistics products and services available. The event will take place between this September 11th-13th, at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok Thailand.” Visitors will have a chance to meet with as many as 150 leading logistics companies from Thailand, neighbouring ASEAN countries, China, Taiwan, Japan and Germany. The comprehensive showcase of innovative products and services will cover the following various aspects of the logistics industry such as Logistics service providers, Software/IT and also related services.

Mr. Rachane further noted that, “Other highlights of the TILF2008 include an exhibition on ‘Logistics Networking in ASEAN’, a logistics model contest, and a green logistics contest. Also, there will be a range of logistics symposium featuring well-known gurus.”
