Harbinger Consulting Group (HCG), a leader in Oracle’s Hyperion training has entered an agreement with auto maker, Chrysler LLC, to provide Essbase financial reporting education. After leading an initial workshop, HCG was selected by Chrysler to help develop a curriculum and assist them in user training, with the goal of eliminating questions and support issues while boosting end user confidence and productivity.

Chrysler’s Corporate Finance Redesign (CFR) Group coordinated the partnership with HCG, requesting a customized training solution around Essbase foundation knowledge, Essbase spreadsheet reporting fundamentals, advanced Essbase spreadsheet reporting, basic Essbase administration and Chrysler’s CFR customized Essbase web portal.

“Initially, HCG was contracted to design and customize training courses for use by Chrysler trainers. After the first session was conducted by HCG, they decided to utilize expertise from HCG trainers in delivering the curriculum,” says D.J. Hoelscher, HCG Account Manager.

With the development of the course curriculum, training sessions began in late 2007 at Chrysler’s headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with more scheduled for 2008.
