Terrorism threats have become common place news items in several parts of the world. The US, still dealing with the ripples that 9/11 created, is pulling out all the stops to preparedness, with disaster and emergency management plans in place.
Last week, Los Angeles county officials practiced their response to a simulated earthquake and terrorist attack during “Operation Doubleheader.”
The Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management organized the 12-hour exercise to determine what information and help the public would need, if a natural disaster and terrorist attack struck on the same day.
