
A new publication, “Disaster Risk Management Today: Global Context, Local Tools”, is now available online.
Published by the United Nations Secretariat of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR) Regional Unit for the Americas, it is aimed at keeping disaster preparedness in focus.
The publication provides state-of-the-art information on themes relative to disaster risk reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean. Contents are tailored for a broad audience, including professionals, policy makers and practitioners, as well as those who generate policies for action.
The document’s main focus falls on sustainable local development, land use planning and other key areas.
