Finnish web hosting provider Scene Group Oy Ltd. (http://www.scenegroup.fi) has deployed R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection (http://www.r1soft.com), it was announced yesterday. The company will provide the service to its customers at no extra cost. The service will be available to the company’s dedicated server customers as an ‘addon’.

R1soft's solution provides full server backups four times a day with “multiple restore points, ensuring there is always fresh backups available”. The solution allows users to restore a single file, a directory, an MySQL database or “even a single MySQL table”. According to the company, the solution makes disaster recovery up to ten times faster.
