The Service-Oriented Communication Architecture (SOCA) brings communication service components into the applications infrastructure to ensure seamless, cost-effective integration of communication capabilities with other service components in Web 2.0 or SOA-driven infrastructure.

A service-oriented architecture (SOA) is a method for systems development and integration which enables disparate applications to exchange data within business processes.
