NUS museum was established in 1997, the Museum was formerly called the National University of Singapore Museums. Located in the University Cultural Centre in scenic Kent Ridge campus, it manages a growing number of collections housed under-one-roof. To the existing Lee Kong Chian Art Museum, Ng Eng Teng Gallery, and the South & Southeast Asian Gallery, will be added a new annex for contemporary art.

NUS museum decided to use IP surveillance solution to enhance their existing analogue security system, because ACTi IP surveillance solution provides cost-effective video server and its video quality is better than DVR solution. Furthermore, ACTi NVR provides full function for central recording and management.

Nextan, a system integrator in Singapore, installed 50 channels in the NUS museum. The surveillance solution in museum included 4 units of SED-2610 (8 channels video server) and 10 units of ACM-3311 (IR IP fixed dome camera). These equipments are installed in exhibition rooms, reference rooms and main entrance. In the control room, they used ACTi NVR (64 channels management software) to record and manage the whole 50 channels.
