Chloride has supplied more than 50MVA of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems to some of the world's leading legal and financial institutions based in Canary Wharf, London.
This is the largest concentration of Chloride UPS anywhere in the world and continues to grow as more blue chip customers move in and entrust their critical power protection.
Power protection is critical for their business continuity. Downtime is not an option for round-the-clock global businesses, particularly in the financial markets, where trillions of pounds change hands every minute on trading floors.
Much of this vital equipment is linked to and monitored by LIFE.net, Chloride's industry-leading 24/7 remote monitoring and diagnostics service, with which the supplier effectively takes responsibility for the health of the UPS.
In addition to the 50MVA of UPS solutions, Chloride has also installed over 55,000A of CROSS static switches which maintain the integrity of the total power protection system, increase power source reliability and eliminate the high percentage of faults linked to electrical distribution problems in the system downstream of the power source.
Another notable recent Chloride success was gaining the contract to supply Dubai International Airport with more than 600 UPS units, providing 14MVA of UPS critical power protection. This is the largest concentration of three-phase UPS anywhere in the Middle East. The operational status of every unit is monitored constantly, using Chloride's ManageUPS CIO software and information reported directly to the airport building management and flight control systems. |
