The Optical Smoke Detector 55000-680 uses the scattered light principle and was developed for the detection of smoke particles in a wide range of fire detection applications. The modern design of the sensing chamber allows to reliably evaluate the characteristics of fire. The detector indicates the alarm by means of an LED.
Sealed electronics and an insect screen ensure optimum protection against false alarms activated through environmental impact. Furthermore, the extremely low quiescent current ensures a long life of the two batteries in the detector base.
