Synopsis

The idea for a Business Continuity Maturity Model arose in 1997 from a conversation with Jerry Klawitter, the manager for Investment Banking BCM of the Americas for JP Morgan Chase. Klawitter needed a way to objectively benchmark his BC program against other firms in the investment banking industry. Virtual Corporation reviewed several possible maturity models and investigated the fundamental elements that are at work when an organization implements a business continuity program.
