The city of Manchester, NH and its six surrounding communities which consist of the Cities of Auburn, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, Litchfield and Londonderry have implemented the TIER II MANAGER™ Enterprise Edition to share critical hazards information between all Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) and Fire Departments.
The system enables facilities in the region to submit to one central database and have the information securely and immediately shared with its neighboring communities. Authorized users have rapid access to view updated hazardous chemical inventories, chemical profiles, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Site Plans, and multiple types of vulnerability analysis by utilizing GIS mapping capabilities.
An online planning module streamlines data collection from reporting chemical companies and plan review and approval from the members of the Local Emergency Planning Committee. An integrated web-based GIS system enables each city to map hazardous sites and conduct vulnerability assessments.
The system was procured using Homeland Security funding. IDSiGIS
