News, Products, Revenue, Customer Service, Billing, Global: Subex, which specialises in OSS solutions, has released an enhanced version of its Prevea credit-risk management system. Version 2.2 is intended to help telecoms service providers reduce even further revenue loss from delinquent accounts.

Subex, which provides Operations Support Systems (OSS) solutions for communications service providers, has released Prevea 2.2, the latest version of its credit risk management system. The new version is intended by Subex to help "communications service providers to continuously assess and mitigate subscriber credit risk throughout the customer lifecycle."

Fitting in with the Subex Revenue Operations Centre (ROC), Prevea aims to track credit risk in near real-time, prior to subscriber acquisition, ongoing usage, and recovery. Prevea is also aimed at "building an extensive customer profile consisting of demographics, usage patterns, payment information and other relevant customer information," while also bringing out the “true exposure” of the subscriber. It also enables operators to automatically track credit risk by removing the guesswork associated with the value of service utilisation.

Version 2.2 “creates structures and processes for defining credit risk assessment schemes and customer-specific credit limits, allowing for alert conditions to be configured to track risk variations, such as deviations in customer behaviour and payment delays/reversals. It also “raises alerts at the earliest signs of an account problem and provides workflow mechanism to aid investigation.”

Subex’s customers include 32 of the world's 50 largest service providers. The company has more than 150 installations across 60 countries.
