QuIC Financial Technologies Inc., a global solutions provider of risk management, pricing and financial analytics solutions, announced the launch of version 3.0 of the QuIC Product Suite which will significantly increase performance, make integration with existing risk systems easier and increase compatibility with grid software vendors.

Said Tony Coppellotti, QuIC's Chief Technology Officer, "Speed and compatibility are the essence of our 3.0 release of the QuIC Product Suite. We have re-engineered the QuIC Engine - which provides the core computational power for the entire QuIC Product Suite - for even greater speed and performance. We've introduced QuIC Bridge, a new interface that allows C/C++ programs to be called directly from QuIC Script, allowing clients' models to be directly accessed through QuIC's risk architecture. The fastest risk management calculation system just became faster, and more companies with existing QuIC solutions can take advantage of its power."

QuIC Bridge allows the embedding of native C/C++ code within QuIC Script - QuIC's high performance, vectorised computing language - so QuIC Script can directly interact with native system libraries. QuIC Bridge minimizes effort spent on integration and model validation and maximises the performance of client's portfolios with the speed and calculation power of the QuIC Engine. It allows clients to easily plug their models into the QuIC Simulation Framework - QuIC's leading edge risk architecture. QuIC users upgrading to 3.0 will notice immediate speed improvements by as much as 45% on single core CPUs.

The new QuIC Engine is multi-threaded to further enhance the industry leading performance of QuIC solutions for users of new multi-core processors, and with the version 3.0 release, C/C++ programmers can directly access the QuIC Engine and its native operators.

The QuIC Engine is now fully compatible with a host of grid software offerings including Data Synapse GridServer, Paremus Infiniflow and Platform Symphony- allowing users of any of these products to easily utilise QuIC risk management, pricing and other financial analytics solutions. In addition, the QuIC Engine now runs natively in 64-bit Windows operating systems, and accesses the increased memory and processing power of 64-bit Windows. The availability of 32-bit and 64-bit Windows' builds of the QuIC Engine match the existing 32-bit and 64-bit builds for Linux. The QuIC Product Suite 3.0 can be run on multi-core machines, with certain processing-intensive operations running in parallel.

The development of QuIC Bridge is part of QuIC's open engine strategy - a commitment to increase compatibility with other environments, while making the QuIC Product Suite interoperable with more computer languages and paradigms.
