SecurStar warns companies about data protection and presents DriveCrypt, its data encryption solution that encrypts information

According to a survey presented by "Information Week", an international magazine of business and technology, only 27.4% of companies consider the safety of their data a priority. This is a worrisome figure, and deserves attention from companies and IT professionals.

At the same time, the constant increase of criminal activity is making headlines.

DriveCrypt secures sensitive data and blocks its access by unauthorized people. It allows containers to be created within a partition of the hard drive. This way, the unauthorized person will not know of the existence of the confidential data.

During the container creation, DriveCrypt permits defining two passwords: a "false" one that gives access to "false" data, and a "real" one that gives access to the real, confidential, data. Even in a case of emergency, where a user is forced to provide the password to the attacker, the "false" password can be revealed, keeping the sensitive information safe.

Underestimating the security of data can create problems for the company's research progress in the event the data is stolen. It is important to take precautions.

SecurStar offers for download a trial version of DriveCrypt free of charge through http://www.securstar.com/.
