Seven Counties in NY State have passed the Neighbor Notification Law requiring pesticide spraying companies to notify abutting properties of spray customers 48 hours previous to the spraying.

IDSiGIS has developed a Neighbor Notification Service to ease the immense burden of identifying abutting properties in bulk and delivering the required notifications. Customers can set up an account at www.idsigis.com/nnl or by calling 201-302-9494. Users can access standard templates to complete and upload the required spray information.  IDSiGIS worked with local government GIS departments to acquire the parcel information for the abutting parcel search. Currently IDSiGIS is working with the Erie County, NY GIS Department to implement service for customers in Erie County.

Once the notification request is submitted by the customer, the Neighbor Notification Service will identify abutting properties and create and mail the postcard notification. Pesticide companies can escape the tedious task of using tax maps and incurring costs of materials and resources to meet the law. Each notification is just .34! - Less than the cost of a stamp.
