Goodrich Corporation has received a contract from the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, Va. to supply rescue hoist systems for the National Guard's UH- 60A/L Black Hawk helicopters. Internally-mounted rescue hoists will be retrofitted into current UH-60A/L platforms. Under the terms of the contract, deliveries begin immediately and will continue through 2010.

"We are excited and proud to provide our rescue hoists to the National Guard for their expanding missions," said Mike Bontell, Rotorcraft Aftermarket Business Development Manager, Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems. "With the National Guard supporting Department of Homeland Security missions, our rescue hoist systems will provide additional capabilities for each state to respond to natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina."

Goodrich has created the standard for internally-mounted rescue hoists by providing optimum cost-benefit solutions to all branches of service for over 35 years. The modular and mobile design, attached to the helicopter through quick disconnects, allow rescue hoists to be easily moved between helicopters.

Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems provides a broad range of systems to the aerospace industry worldwide including SmartProbe(TM) air data systems, Electronic Flight Bag systems, security and surveillance systems, fuel measurement and management systems, health and usage management systems, ice detection and protection systems, and rescue hoists and cargo winches.

Goodrich Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is a global supplier of systems and services to aerospace, defense and homeland security markets. With one of the most strategically diversified portfolios of products in the industry, Goodrich serves a global customer base with significant worldwide manufacturing and service facilities.
