Liz de Rome is a road safety consultant specialising in motorcycle safety and strategicplanning. Since 2000 she has been working with the motorcycle community and roadsafety agencies to improve motorcycle safety in Australia. She wrote Positioned forSafety, the first rider initiated motorcycle safety strategic plan in Australia for theMotorcycle Council of NSW (MCC).

In 2003 Liz she undertook a comprehensive study of motorcycle protective clothing. Shehas used this information to produce consumer guides to encourage riders to makeinformed purchasing decisions when buying protective clothing.
