Build-A-Bear Workshop Inc. has signed an initial two-year contract with HA Logistics Inc. to manage outbound transportation and distribution of the retailer's products from its Groveport, Ohio, facility to Build-A-Bear's U.S. stores.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal includes an automatic one-year option upon the original agreement's end date of June 30, 2010.The agreement is non-exclusive so Build-A-Bear is still free to obtain similar services from other providers, according to the filing.
Pleasanton, Calif.-based HA Logistics is a national supply chain management firm. St. Louis-based Build-A-Bear Workshop is a retailer where customers can create their own customized stuffed animals.
Shares of Build-A-Bear Workshop rose 14 cents, or two percent, to close at $7.28 Thursday.
