The Jet Protector JP-401/402 expels a liquid irritant jet on targets up to 6 meters (JP-402: 4 m) with very high accuracy utilising a pyrotechnic charge. In the field of non-lethal protection devices, it is the successor of the widely available defensive aerosol sprays. It is used to effectively and reliably stop an assailant without causing any lasting injury.
The multi-shot JP-401/402 is reusable; it fires replaceable specially designed cartridges that are filled with the liquid irritant by the manufacturer. Different types of cartridges are available, such as the low-aerosol OC especially designed for indoor use. With its patented design, the JP-401/402 has four shots with semi-automatic change over and can be easily operated with only one hand. It is carried in a special designed holster unit. |
