Synopsis

In recent years, wild land fires and altered fire disturbance regimes have become a significant management and science problem affecting ecosystems and wildland/urban interface across the United States. This white paper describes some of the many pre-fire geospatial needs that should prove useful for conducting effective fire-management programs prior to a fire occurring.
