Thales announced the launch of its new Datacryptor® 10 Gig Ethernet Layer 2 Encryptor which is targeted for use with large financial institutions and government agencies that use a 10 Gigabit Ethernet connection in their core backbone in order to support the enormous explosion of bandwidth intensive applications such as Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. The 10 Gig Ethernet Datacryptor addresses the need for secure 10 gigabit backbone WAN links with minimal latency and is also FIPS 140-2, level 2 certified and in process for Common Criteria EAL 3.
