Biography

Mr. Nater is currently the president and owner of Nater Associates, Ltd a Security Management Consulting Firm. He has over 30 years experience in security and law enforcement and management with the United States Postal Service as a Postal Inspector, Special Investigator and Postal Security Supervisor and United States Army Reserves. He retired from the U. S. Army Reserves after 26 years as the Command Sergeant Major of a major Army Reserve Command. He held various program manager positions in various departments with the Postal Inspection Service, including Regional Program Manager for Training, National Recruitment Program Manager and National Public Information Officer. In the reserves, Mr. Nater held every Noncommissioned Officer position and served on several national programs and activities. In October 2002 he established Nater Associates, Limited Security Consulting Practice specializing in Workplace Violence Prevention Security Issues and Crime Prevention. His first major contract was with the Postal Service on Long Island, New York to conduct a major Vulnerability Threat Assessments of its 120 postal facilities.He has conducted security training for thousands of postal employees, supervisors, managers and lectured at non-for-profit organizations, corporations, universities and chambers of commerce.
