The new product enables customers to simplify their backup and recovery solutions, with centralized management capabilities, support for an unprecedented 30+ operating systems, as well as additional applications, and integrated solutions for VMware, allowing customers to reduce management costs and increase performance. Unitrends’ Data Protection and Rapid Recovery 3.1 includes integrated support for VMware’s ESX 3.0 Server Backup and VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB) and enhanced Windows support, providing support for virtualization environments as well as Microsoft SQL MSDE and Exchange 2007 in addition to a Centralized Management Console and enhanced user interface for superior ease of use and system manageability.
