Biography

Jennifer R. Sheehy Vice President and Director / Crisis Communications, Clarke Goward Advertising & Public Relations.

Since joining the firm over 10 years ago, Jennifer has directed crisis response, preparedness, training and reputation management programs for hundreds of clients throughout North America and Europe in numerous industry sectors including energy and the environment, healthcare and medical devices, manufacturing, food processing and packaging, and financial services. Her risk experience includes fires and explosions, product recalls and tampering, food borne illness, executive indiscretions, adverse medical events, media investigations, facility closings, web rumors, litigation and financial mismanagement.

Nationally recognized for her expertise in crisis communication plan development and for facilitating crisis simulation exercises for single- and multiple-site client operations across the United States, Jennifer directs a staff of highly knowledgeable senior experts who regularly develop strategies and execute communication activities for a myriad of crises – whether for Fortune 500 companies or local non-profit organizations. Clarke Goward staff have provided crisis communication services to clients for more than 20 years.

She is interviewed regularly on crisis issues by national media outlets and has authored numerous articles highlighting the challenges of crisis management. These articles include Advanced Planning for Successful Crisis Management (appeared in Women’s Business Aug 2003), Avoiding the Seven Sins of Crisis Communications (appeared in Electric Perspectives July/August 2003), Surviving a Crisis in the Customer Service Arena and Layoff Communications.

She received a bachelor’s degree in American Civilization from Brown University.
