Alarm Reporting Systems – Alarm Messages, Fire Alarm, Alarm Transmitters And Transceivers, Radio Alarm Box, Emergency Radio Transmitter, User-Powered Alarm Box

SigCom offers a variety of equipment used to transmit alarm messages, report incidents and control operations at remote locations.  Alarms and control operations are communicated either via intelligent radio or fiber-optic networks.

Centered around the Vision 21 System Processor, SigCom`s Alarm Reporting System is typically used for fire alarm, security and remote access, process control, and many other applications. The system includes all of the equipment necessary to provide a fast, accurate and reliable connection between a remote location and the control center.  Its flexible and modular design allows it to cover a wide range of applications from a simple one-way reporting system to a sophisticated two-way command and control polling system. The programmable features of the system allow it to be uniquely tailored for any installation.

SigCom`s alarm transmitters and transceivers are designed to operate in harsh environments and under extreme temperature ranges.  The equipment may be powered by AC, battery and solar power supplies and is capable of monitoring and controlling devices that can be activated manually, through digital interface or by sensors and transducers.  Two way communication allows for automatic or manual control of connected devices in response to an alarm or trouble condition, even if they`re at a different location.

Vision 21

8MTJ-A-16 Series Radio Alarm Box

The 8MTJ-A-16 Series intelligent Radio Alarm Box is a multifunctional radio alarm reporting transmitter designed to communicate a variety of emergency messages to a Signal Communications Vision 21ä System Processor. The Radio Alarm Box utilizes a microprocessor technology in an advanced design, while providing the optimum in versatility and performance. Its modular configuration allows for easy installation, maintenance and expansion. It is furnished with an extensive diagnostic and self-testing system to supervise box operation.

DTX Series Alarm Transceiver

SigCom`s DTX Alarm Transceiver is an extremely versatile and cost effective alarm reporting device. The DTX may be configured to operate as a one-way radio transmitter, a two-way radio transceiver or a combination of either radio configuration or a fiber optic transceiver. Each means of communications is independent of the other, providing maximum reliability.

When combined with SigCom`s Vision 21 System Processor, all of the DTX configurations are Factory Mutual (FM) Approved as both Public and Proprietary Alarm Reporting Systems (NFPA 72).

There are 2 DTX Models: 4 zone inputs or 16 zone inputs. The DTX is capable of monitoring up to 4 or 16 zone inputs (dry contacts) and one external user activated switch. As an alternative, the system may be configured with a combination of zones and external switch contacts to adapt to a variety of applications. The DTX can also interface with a serial port (RS-232 or RS-485) connection from a control panel. Zone input circuits and external switch contacts can be assigned with up to 32 different message names.

In normal operation, the DTX continually scans each input for alarm and trouble conditions. In addition, the DTX also monitors itself for a variety of internal faults, including loss of fiber-optic communications, when applicable.

The DTX has four optional internal relay outputs (form C) that are field programmable. These outputs may be configured to operate automatically upon transmission of specific zone, alarm and/or trouble messages. The output relays may also be configured to operate by remote activation in either of the two-way configurations (radio or fiber optic).

Rapid Response Computer Aided Dispatch

Rapid Response is a comprehensive dispatching system that coordinates alarm messages with relational databases to provide extensive location and dispatch data. The program can be run independently or can be connected to the Vision 21 System Processorfor automatic call generation.

When an alarm is received from the Vision 21 System Processor, the program automatically prints the associated box, zone and location data and sounds an audible indicator to alert the dispatcher. Upon acknowledgement, an incident number is automatically assigned and a recommended dispatch list is displayed based on the alarm location and received message type. This list is supplemented with a move up list when equipment is unavailable as well as an updated dispatch list when the alarm is upgraded. Equipment can be assigned from the recommended list, a list of available equipment or the complete equipment list.

User-Powered Alarm Box

The User-Powered Alarm Box is a unique emergency radio transmitter designed to eliminate the high cost associated with batteries and wires providing a cost effective alternative to conventional systems.

Wireless: Using a frequency modulated (FM) radio transmitter, the User-Powered Alarm Box reports emergency alarm messages to a SigCom Receiving Console. Its microprocessor-based circuitry provides accurate and reliable data communications under extreme environmental conditions.

No Batteries: An electro-mechanical power module enables the User-Powered Alarm Box to operate without a battery or any other power source. This unique design eliminates the high cost associated with battery maintenance and replacement.

Vandal Resistant: Ruggedly constructed of cast aluminum the User-Powered Alarm Box is designed so that no bolts and screws are exposed to weather and vandals. Sudden or extreme movement activates a tilt / vandal alarm which automatically sends a signal to a SigCom Receiving Console.

Low Maintenance: The User-Powered Alarm Box requires minimum maintenance because of its solid construction and battery-less design. All electronics are solid state and environmentally coated. Mechanical components have been selected to provide high reliability and long life in the harshest environments.

Meets ADA Guidelines: Activation of the pull handle and selector buttons are within the guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
