To minimize the environmental impact on sensitive areas near the oil spill, MOSIS had to increase the response times for reporting the details of oil spills, reduce the number of reporting errors and be easy to use and understand.
GIS-enabled Spill Site Tracking System
This application gives responders access to a wide range of hitherto unavailable data, whether in the office or at a spill site. Responders can now take laptops to the field with current copies of all relevant MDEP databases and spatial data.
