Biometric Access Company (BAC), a developer of biometric-based access control systems, will unveil a new physical access control system called SecureTouch SmartLock. The unveiling of the new system is set for the National Retail Federation Expo in mid-January in New York.
The new SmartLock system is designed to replace keyed or ID-card based access control systems. The system will enable personnel to access areas via fingerprint authentication. Additionally, the locks keep a log of both admitted and denied users so that complete access records are held at all times.
SmartLock runs on BAC’s SecureTouch Advanced Modular device which is the same technology BAC has incorporated into their products for past payroll and credit biometric solutions. |
