Company Furthers Commitment to Channel With XChange Tech Innovators 2008 Involvement

When it comes to keeping data secure and managing storage for PCs, servers and networks - easy does it! The same can be said of channel programs, and Paragon Software Group's Partner Program is being well received by VARs in the SMB and mid-enterprise markets.

From the onset, Paragon set out to provide products that are easy to use, employing a channel-centric sales model focused on the ease-of-use of its products and the ease of doing business within the program. From Paragon's perspective, products that are easy to install and use translate into easy sales. Paragon's products are simple and straightforward, and the Paragon Partner Program operates in much the same fashion. Unlike competitors' channel programs, Paragon's Partner Program is not based on complicated point aggregation, and offers higher discounts with fewer requirements. Additionally, the Partner Program offers demonstrably higher margins and access to highest ratio of support personnel to registered VARs in the industry.

This has proven to be a compelling offering to the channel, and one that is setting Paragon apart from competitors. For instance, established VARs Ceratec, Inc. and Continental Resources, Inc. have both chosen the Paragon Partner Program after thoroughly researching the programs offered by other industry heavyweights and finding them to fall short of meeting their specific needs.

Peter Banz, manager at Ceratec, appreciates the fact that Paragon offers a wide variety of disk-based utilities. "As a support oriented enterprise with customers world wide, Ceratec's experts in the field of network and data communication find that Paragon's Partition Manager and Drive Backup lines provide added value when having customized discussions with our customers. Additionally, Paragon's growing North American presence and local tech support teams are strong enhancements to their software solutions, and have set the bar quite high for other providers in the backup and recovery field."

Continental Resources is among the most established technology solutions providers in the industry, and one of the first companies to rent and lease test and measurement equipment to high-tech manufacturing companies. When looking for recovery and backup solutions to pass along to customers, Chris Hubert, Continental Resources' OEM applications engineer, selected Paragon's solutions over those offered by industry heavyweights. "When compared to the competition, Paragon's backup and recovery solutions simply had all of the right features to meet our in-house needs, as well as the needs of our customers," noted Hubert.

"Paragon's sales model is 100 percent channel centric, and the Partner Program is specially designed to give VARs all of the tools needed to ensure successful sales and support of our solutions - while delivering new revenue opportunities," commented Steve Young, Paragon's channel sales manager.

The Partner Program is ideally suited to those VARs providing managed services to customers, offering infrastructure design and implementation services, as well as VARs focused on data-critical verticals such as finance, healthcare, government, and education. Paragon Software provides a wide range of innovative solutions for system and data protection for small businesses. In the event of a catastrophic failure, users can quickly restore operating systems data on each workstation, server or laptop throughout the company.

As further evidence of its commitment to the channel, Paragon will be showcasing its backup and recovery solutions at Everything Channel's XChange Tech Innovators Show, beginning on November 17th at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.

XChange Tech Innovators 2008, the most unique channel event of the year, will bring together the latest cutting edge technology solutions along with the most sophisticated products and live displays in the industry. Over 115 solution providers will be in attendance, with a focus on diverse technologies.
