DataCore Software, a provider of storage virtualization software, announced that Australia-based itX Group has signed on as a new value-added distributor.

The Australian company offers a portfolio of virtualization solutions enabling partners to fulfill customer demand for end-to-end virtualization, spanning desktops, servers and now storage with Fort Lauderdale-based DataCore.

ItX Group offers presales technical support, account management and technologies for small, mid-size and large operations.

DataCore President and CEO George Teixeira said the company was attracted to itX because of its “stellar track record with Citrix and VMware, among other virtualization providers.”

The relationship extends DataCore’s distribution within Australia and brings additional value to resellers, he said.

Peter Thompson, DataCore vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific, said itX will promote and distribute DataCore's virtual storage, business continuity, disaster recovery and storage area network software products to its resellers throughout Australia.

DataCore builds manufacturer-independent, software-based storage solutions that run on any standard physical or virtual server. The company says thousands of businesses and Global 2000 data centers rely on its comprehensive product portfolio to deploy disk servers, add capacity expansion, and centralize and automate storage management for Microsoft Windows, VMware, UNIX, Linux, MacOS and NetWare systems.
