Dynamic Device Detection, i-Update, and IEI Professor are Among the New Features

International Electronics, Inc., (IEI), a leading manufacturer of electronic access control and asset management products for industrial and commercial applications, today announced availability of a new version of its Hub Manager Professional Access Control Software which is used to control and monitor access to facilities.

New features of the software include:

Dynamic Device Detection - enables the software to automatically search the network and dynamically connect to any IEI Secure Ethernet Gateway (SEG v1.3 or greater) without the need for prior setup. If an IP address changes after connection has been established, the software will automatically search and locate the device on the network and re-establish communications.

i-Update - allows automatic updates to Hub Manager Professional Software without the user having to download a full version of new releases.

Task List Clipboard with IEI Professor - is a built in tutorial program that instructs users on how to properly setup their system for the first time with video clips that guide the user through each step of the setup process. A task list displays each item as it is completed to ensure proper system configuration.

Communications Troubleshooting Utility - will help the user with communication issues either on setup or if communications have been lost. The troubleshooter asks a series of questions with recommended tasks to restore or establish communications to the IEI hardware network.

"The continued upgrading to our Hub Manager Professional Software underscores IEI's commitment to maintain a leadership position in the systems access control marketplace," said John Waldstein, President and CEO of International Electronics. "Hub Manager Professional Software, combined with our Hub Max II, Mini Max II, Prox.Pad Plus, and LS2 access control products, provides the best value for mid-tier access control systems in the market today. With the widest range of systems and stand-alone access control devices, along with the commitment to best-in-class service and support, IEI continues to be one of the preeminent companies dedicated to security management and access control."

Hub Manager Professional Software is available immediately at no cost to IEI customers with Hub Max and Mini Max access control systems. Customers can download the latest version from the IEI website at http://www.ieib.com/support-software-downloads.html.
