Global Security Associates, LLC, has announced the opening of its new division Global Security Group, located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Will McGuire, President and CEO of the New York-based international aviation security and emergency preparedness company, says, "We look forward to being able to service a region with an immediate need for aviation security protocols along with environmental and manmade emergency preparedness issues."

Heading operations in the region will be Regional Director of Global Security Group-Asia, Stephen Walson. "The office will be based in Jakarta but will serve the entire Asian subcontinent. The timing right now is very important. The aviation industry is experiencing a lot of privatization. When this happens, in an emerging market and in the region like this, it can create shortfalls in security as well as other issues that companies and the government need to address."

In addition to aviation security, the region will benefit from Global's emergency preparedness services. "Emergency response training is one of the services Global will be providing. Global will assess the political climate for companies doing business or traveling in the region as well as environmental risks and how to prepare better for those. "Emergency response training is a very important issue for this area," states Walson.
