Built around a network of weather sensors, the Neighborhood Weather Net operates first as an information-gathering tool. The sensors measure an array of weather data including temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction, dewpoint, wind-chill, and barometric pressure. This information is collected and sent--via the Internet--to your Neighborhood Weather Net computer, which becomes a source for broadcast-ready graphics. Furthermore, the sensors themselves will serve as a tangible reminder of your presence in the community as you introduce them to your viewers.
